Course Description

A study of the biblical model of leadership, contrasting the styles and practical examples of Jesus and Paul with traditional and historical models, to prepare leaders for producing missional churches in the midst of emerging culture.

Course Objectives

  • Students will acquire a clear understanding of biblical model of leadership based on Jesus’ own ministry and developments after his ascension recorded in the Book of Acts and the Epistles.
  • Students will learn how to function and lead with a relational, team approach.
  • Students will understand the vital role that vision has for leading and shaping the church.
  • Students will learn how to develop disciples and reproduce leaders.
  • Students will understand how the Kingdom of God produces the focus and practice of mission in and through the church.

  • The Bible (more than one translation is highly recommended)
